Description:

The battle against Polaris is broken down into three stages. In the first stage, the arena is as described above, but Polaris (Stage 1) has 7 Elemental Servants (Treat as Damage Resistant Constructs with 300 LP, Attack Ability 240, and a Projectile Attack Range 150 feet and 80 Base Damage. Also, each is immune to a single form of damage; Cut, Thrust, Impact, Heat, Cold, Elec, or Ene, which is also the type of damage their ranged attack inflicts). For each individual Elemental Servant that is alive Polaris (Stage 1) is also immune to damage of that type. Should any of his Elemental Servants die, Polaris (Stage 1) will regenerate them in 2 turns, in a space up to 100 feet from its central hub.

Upon being reduced to 1/3 Total LP, Polaris (Stage 1) will transform into its Polaris (Stage 2) although maintain the damage that it suffered in the first form. To reach this stage Polaris (Stage 2) assembles its Elemental Servants into a towering body. It then conjures 1 each of Agni, Arias Vayu, Chthon, and Varuna. Should any of his summons be slain during this combat before he is defeated, he will Summon all such defeated creatures back 2 turns after they fall.

Once Polaris (Stage 2) has been reduced to 0 LP, it will transform into its final form. Polaris (Stage 3) will create a greatly different arena on which to battle it. This creature’s new massive body will tower before them, a central hub and two equally enormous limbs hanging off its sides. A long 300 foot bridge of light extends out towards the central body, while a pair of 1000 foot tall spiral stone stairwells leads up to the different limbs. It will then re-conjure the four powerful summons, and engage in the final stage of the battle with its full vigor and power. Being able to defeat it will make for a truly potent experience.

Special Ability: Core and Limbs (The core of Polaris is the actual target that needs to be destroyed in order to win, and the easiest way to reach it is by moving down the bridge of light. There are two limbs attached to the central body, which are most easily reached at the joints by scaling up the massive stone stairways. While the limbs are alive, each turn on Polaris’ Initiative each can make a separate action. The combat arm will perform an additional Cepheid attack on a target within range. The summoning arm will attempt to re-summon any of the defeated supernatural creatures that serve it. Each limb can be destroyed by inflicting 900 LP of damage to it. However, on Polaris’ third Initiative turn since it was destroyed Polaris will regenerate the destroyed limb as a free action.)
